01 — What is it?
What is WELL?
WELL is a building standard centred on people. Rather than focusing mainly on energy or materials, it looks at how a building affects the health and comfort of the people inside it: the quality of the air and water, access to daylight, temperature and noise comfort, opportunities to move, and the overall experience of the space.
Buildings are assessed against a set of features and can achieve Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum. WELL is often pursued by organisations that see their workplace as part of how they attract, support and retain people.
